Anyone know where I might be able to get a 73873A power steering pulley and a power steering pump off from a 1991 454 Merc motor? I dont care if it is new used whatever. I found a couple of pumps on the net but I cant find the god damn pulley.
It would have to be in or around the Toronto area.
I sent mine in to get rebuilt and they destroyed it---likely ruining my day off tomorrow and my whole planned weekend of boating in Muskoka. We just pulled pumps and pulleys of a couple of our old cars with GM big blocks and none will fit. We cant even get the ****ing pulley off the pump they ****ed it up so badly.
I am so pissed.

Its astandard saginaw pump,1986 chevy truck should work. They have a standard part number and metric pump, use the standard, any junk yard or auto parts store.
You can buy the pump and swap the housing (can) and install.

What about the pulley? The pulley is my biggest problem.
I have pumps galore but I need the special pulley with the offset.

can anyone cross this number and give me a GM part number?
You would be saving my weekend!

thanks Paul but I dont think that one would work. Too bad about the top gun, I was looking forward to seeing you on the Lake this summer, we ran past Bronte on our way to barangas on Sunday. Wicked day.
If I could just get the darn cross reference number for the GM part I could try and grab one tomorrow morning and toss it in.
If I cant get the part number I am just going to go to a couple GM dealers and look but I am thinking my chances are slim.
Might have to chaulk this one up to god's will to stop me from scaring all of the doctors and lawyers on Lake Joe this weekend.......
If I anyone has this part number or knows where to get this thing I would owe you one.

Have you tried all the dealers around Toronto. There were several according to the Mercruiser website. You have probably already tried them but it might be worth a shot. It is a pricey little pulley.
