My opinion...I am from the West coast and know the brands pretty well.

Cheetah is a decent entry level boat, as stated before. That one in particular will be hard to resale due to it having a small block.

Warlock is also a decent boat, but very narrow. That being said the cocpit will be smaller as well as the cabin. It is very noticable.

Nordic makes a good boat. I would say that they are a couple steps above Cheetah but you are comparing a 1992 Nordic and 2003 Cheetah. I really like the new Nordics but they don't do the "Custom" gel like other West Coast Boats.

If these boats are all 40k dollars than they are all over priced.

You are missing the exact point of my original question. I stated what the BOOK is! I KNOW THE VALUE OF THE BOAT! (what you are saying I don't know by your statement)

I WAS ASKING what to OFFER on the boat! OFFERING A PRICE ON A PURCHASE OF A BOAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME INSURING CLIENTS BOATS.

I do think the tone and the statement you said is absolutly RUDE and uncalled for. My clients here on OSO can attest to my knowledge of my industry and that i know plenty more about insurance on boats than most boat owners do...

I am soooo sorry that I don't know a ton about being a boat BUYER. BUYING a boat and being an INSURANCE AGENT have very little to do with one another. I know the systematic process and steps needed to purchase (which is all i need to know for insurance), but that isn't what I'm talking about.

Apparently on OSO there are such things as a DUMB question and I do take offense to your comment because your statement doesn't make ANY sense. If you read the original question right then you wouldn't have even made your statement.

I would appreciate if you drop your comment and not respond. These guys are helping me, I don't need someone on here when I am asking for help to belittle me or judge me based on my boat buying abilities or inabilities, they have nothing to do with how good of an insurance agent I am.

Just curious... do you have every single value of every single boat ever made in the US memorized... i sure as heck don't... does that make me a bad agent?

One question...how big of a boat do you want? Are you going to be on Havasu and such?

I would go with the Nordic for the following reasons. Since it's your "first performance "boat.. The 496's can be bit finickie and harder to maintain. Parts are costly VS. a 454.
The Nordic is a good brand, good boats, I doubt you have a hard time finding some one who would eventually want one. But it is an older boat, however it may be more economical to purchase, and you may "lose less" in the long run.
That's said.. I would look for more boats. There are a bunch out there.. More important then anythng.. YOU must like the boat. Don't buy it for investment, or resale , value.. etc.. Buy it for what YOU like for YOUR use. Good luck

I appreciate the input! Like I said, i've never been involved with making the actual purchase of a performance boat for myself and just want to make sure I am aware of all angles.

25 would probably be perfect. but I want to avoid the "need to upgrade to a bigger boat" The lakes around Phoenix are small and there isn't much room to really run a boat out here. By the time you get on plane you gotta back down because some jacka$$ jet skier is cutting in front of you or you are passing another boat. It's basically one lane traffic on Canyon lake.
