On the subject of Gino.... Picked up the first issue of "Performance Boats Magazine" at West Marine the other day. Came with a DVD that had interviews with Gino and his M-B boat, Canada Thrust, and the Bud Light boat. Pretty interesting stuff.

The mag was fun to read and had some nice content. I'll probably subscribe.

The chicks on the boats didn't hurt. :D


Haven't gotten my Powerboat yet this month. I'll keep an eye out. Congrats Gino.

It took FOREVER to get my first copy after I paid for my subscription. Got my first 2 mag's and didnt get anything else...maybe they put a years worth of subscription in 3 mags?

Powerboat or Performance Boats?


I thought I read that August was the first Performance Boats that had been printed to date?

CRAP! Now everyone has me wondering, I will have to check when I get home from work.

That boat was cool before they removed all the BLING that made it unique. IMO!!!!!!!!!! Now....whatever!

I got thhe issue of Performance boat with the DVD. They did a nice job, what a nice magazine.
I have not gotten the Powerboat issue yet. It is exciting to see the boat on the cover. I have never been lucky enough to make it into Powerboat at all, this was a nice surprise!

It is too bad they had to remove the dash, they said they could not stop the excessive rattling. I also thought that was a very cool feature when I first saw the boat at the Miami show.

Actually, removing the dash was probably a good thing, I like to be more on the conservative side!!:D

Until recently, "Lucky" wasn,t a word we used about you without "Un" in front of it.:D

Great pics of the boats, but i will say powerboat mag blows.....One of the first rough water races of the year in ocean city and not a lick of coverage.......But hell keep the hydroplanes and deck boats coming......Needless to say i will not be renewing after 15 yrs of subscribing.....

Mine didn't show up either. The stores won't have them for another week atleast. i will be waiting outside my house for the mailman tomorrow!!

Did you catch the show on Fox last Sunday? The Bimini run got loads of coverage including some old school footage. It was one of the better TV race shows.

I don't think we got our's yet either. Looks like a lot of OSO'er
will be featured. I can see from the cover page they are also running an article on BobtheBuilders record setting run to Cancun. Seeing OSO members in the magazines make reading them that much better. Now I can show my friends the cover and say, Ian and I had a ride in that boat:cool-smiley-027:

Gave up my subscription when it became 99.9% new boat test but may have to pickup an issue.

the tv show it was on was reggie fountains powerboat tv, I think I still have it on the DVR but I'm headed to China. I'll try and record it onto DVD when I get home.
