Since dave is the winner I will let the cat out of the bag.
Pretty cool boat for being built in 1935. It was in a marine museum in Venice Italy when I visiting last fall. The museum was awesome, something everybody should see if you are ever in Venice. They had 400 year old boats there that were in unbelievable good shape that you could go right up to and look at and touch. Dave I'll let the guys no that you will be comin.:evilb: |

I can't beleive it would even float. The drive must weigh 500lbs.
|
The boat even has the right name, keeping with the cruise theme.

Looks like it will def handle 87.1, maybe even .2, but thats just a guess. I wonder how many regular duo-prop dirves had to lose their life for him to build that. It's a sin is what it is |

That is cool! Once again proving that there is not much "new" technology that is really new.
Enjoy the cruise Dave! |

My 2 cents
That museum has some bubu stats. That boat was built by Guido Cattaneo in 1932 when he was with Baglietto. The corporation C.A.B.I. was founded in in 1936 by Guistino Cattaneo ( Guido's dad) when the Cattaneo family got in bed with Alfa Romeo. For years Guistino was world famous for airplane engines. C.A.B.I. is still in business They manufacture an excellent pressure proof electrical plug my customers love em. Now as for the original question who built the drive? I have an email into the dude who should know I'll get back to you when I find out.:drink:

I think some of you guys in here hit the class d*ck and dream of having a fast boat. I just gave it more throttle. They were a much nicer group of guys with sick fast out boards. I did not mind running my boat hard for them. Great group of guys

Looks like Jim Wynne may have had some un-deserved glory.

Fact or fairytale?
Facts are documented and proven. Just slinging stuff out in a chat room without providence is more fairytale than fact.:hitfan:
