Wrong on that one, They read out the GPS after each race on a computer and my GPS is a reg. Garmin they do not give you that.
Not in SBI. + my speed bracket is 82 . After the race you find out how you did...kind of like when they used to post grades at school. It's assinine. It's nice that you choose to race at 82, but you don't have to.....My 120 mph Skater is legal in the 75 mph class, or the 82, or the next one, or the next one...WTF? That's not racing ...it's blind luck with real boats. T2x |

Yeah I want to get back into racing but why should I go spend hundreds of thousands of dollars building a boat and race my self most of the season i might as well keep runing poker runs. And I guess what needs to be done is have a hardened set of rules and dont adjust them just because you got a 200mph boat that needs a class and you throw money at the sancioning body to get your boat in and the class changes . Keep the rules once they are written. tech each boat before and after ever race if it is deemed to not fit into the confines of the rules then you're disqualified.
Equipment owners control the rules not some tech guy or sponsor. |

i.e. Super cat 750, Super cat 850, Cat Extreme, Super Cat Lite, and Turbine class...all run the same hulls...confusing the fans, ...and keep the top guys like JT, Steve Curtis, Billy Moore, and Steve Page from racing against each other. Bad plan IMHO. T2x |
JT and Billy are hired guns aren't they? Steve Page has a new 850 boat.
Cat light is the best of the bunch you mentioned. Money doesn't win in that class BALLS do. Who is willing to hang them out? 850 is a nice class. Fast enough. If Billy and JT wanted to compete thats seems to be the way to go. CRC runs a extreme and a 850. The other extreme boats could do the same. They seems to be able to afford it. Then they could RACE like boats and Parade for there fans and sponsors. It exists its better than some plan. No need for excuses. It seems to be a strong foundation and well structured for equipment owners. |

For the cost of the turbine BOATS , one team has 3 boats, a fleet of SUPER VEE LIGHTS could be bought and the ins would have their own race league |

Rich, (or any one)
just fer kicks and giggles do you think we would be ok with the following classes for race day F1 -1 -525 F2 - 2 525s 850 Cat 850 V Run a couple of p classes the day before (Kinda like a Busch race the day before a Nascar event)) and at the end or beginning the turbines for show untill they had enough for a full class (at least 4) Is that just to simple a plan ?? |
