You mean SL41? The SV is the sitdown boat. The newer generation hulls dont have the "rigid" ride like the older epoxy 39's and 42's had.

Yea that was a Mercury thing. It was cool though that all you hear was blower whine under way!! We ran the SL41 in some rough water outside of the cut and it was just awesome. We later ran the OSO 39 Cigarette with Steve. While is was a nice running boat it wasnt even close to the OL. At that point we still owned our Cigarette too.

No need to comment.

I totally respect & love ALL of the Apaches, but not even Kemosabe can, or should even be expected, to be able to hang for very long with a canopied 47 or 51 OL with big power, or a huge cat with big power in any conditions. That's no disrespect at all to Kemosabe, because it's a badass boat. I love Paleface too.

how about if they had the same top end to begin with??? Say in flat water the 47 apache ran 110, and the new OL ran 110. What would the outcome be in rough water??

It would be a dog fight, both boats are sick in the big water. I have been in both and I would put my money on the OL still.

The OL is lighter so it would recover better. I have been in 6-8's at 115 in a 51 OL (The animal house boat that became AMF / Geico) and the boat didn't mind the rough stuff at all. We ran XXX pretty hard in cleveland poker run 2005 or 2005 I don't remember and nobody could touch it in the big water. The apache might give a softer ride in the huge water due to the weight, but the OL should be quicker.

I know that I have a customer that just traded his 47 Apache in for a 47 GTX, and he loves the 47OL in the big stuff.
