As 47 said probably a Daulphin, they are fast, and are primarly used for SAR. And I am not a said expert but, know my recco, after 22 years in the Navy!

What you are talking about is the HH-65 Dauphin. Pretty interesting mission they have. I fly the Ch-47 Chinook myself, hence my name here. I can personally account for how nice it is to have the P-3s above us. Saved our as*es about a month ago here in Afghanistan.
As far as the Coast Guard flying Apaches....sorry, very impractical for the job. Now here, they are very well suited for the mission.

P-3's one of the oldest, but best platforms, I have 22 years working on and in the Orion. althought they are doing overland, there is nothing like flying at 200 ft, in the North Atlantic in crappy weather.

Noisy orange whirly birds are HH-65 "Dolphins". They are primarily SAR, but also do have the capability for carrying a Robar .50, same as used by HITRON, however for Port and Homeland Security.
A number of HH-65A's (Dauphin, or CG named "Dolphin") are currently being outfitted as MH-65C's to take over the job of MH-68A Makos (Agusta A109's leased by HITRON, which were recently returned). These 65C's will be able to do the job of the MH-68s, and thus far have proved to be just as successful in operations.
