[QUOTE=Ratickle;2654928]My guess is pretty slow, maybe high 70's?,

??? Damn, high 70's for a large cat with 2 outboards seems pretty good to me.

Darrell.
I was guessing based on the Mares/Sonic cats with IO's. The one following is for sale on the net. Twin 500 IO's at 500hp each vs twin 350 OB's at 350 hp each. 90 vs high 70's? You're right, probably low to mid 70's best?

That would look very cool with a paint job from down the road at Active Thunder. Pat could do someting wild with the engine cowlings as well.
That hull has been used in enough fishing boats I am sure they lnow exatly how it will handle and perform with all the wieght and power hanging off the back.

Looks nice- but 2 outboards seems underpowered for a boat of that size

I really like it, but would not prefer the OB's. I like the swim platorm and open cockpit. Looks like it would be great for entertaining.

A 38 cat loaded with creature comforts being pushed by two outboards just sounds slooooow.

You'd think they'd tweak that hop out of that hull.

the Mares cat has always been a nice luxurious cat... never really supposed to be a speed freak... cabin is useable too..

Actually I like the cockpit layout, great for poker runs and party coves. If it runs 60 with 8-10 people aboard that's fast enough.
