Why don't they run them out the inlet anymore? That was always one of my favorite parts but they just puttered out on Sunday.

I don't think anyone wants to take the chance of getting hurt or breaking equipment before the race even starts.

Because the State Police said that everyone is to be off plane through the inlet. If not, they would ticket and IMPOUND the race boat for several weeks.

They were not friendly when I met with them at the Driver's Meeting on Sunday morning.

We were ready but someone forgot the turn buoys in Long Island and remembered that Sunday morning.

If that didn't happen....we would have had a 12 noon start. Turn Boats, VIP Boats and Medic / Dive boats were all loaded and on the course for 11am.

Thanks Frank and thank you to everyone who came out to volunteer either on water / land or both! We had 99% of the people who came to Saturday's meeting show up on Sunday morning with the exception of a boat who's risers let go on the way up from South Jersey.

All of the volunteers did an excellent job and the racers were the best as well. All were friendly and appreciated our efforts.
