Power is on for now in the DT area.I have seen the flashes and heard several transformers pop so I'm sure it won't be long before I'm sitting in the dark bored:drink: Also we have not had a single drop of rain so far.Wow just had a gust that shook the house.and its only going to get worse.

Got some good winds now and some rain. But not all it's cracked up to be ..... YET.

12.45 the eye has touched land in Galveston which is about 45 miles due south of us across Galveston Bay. Power is on and off, on right now. Still blowing around 60, but every now and then it really whistles.

Over 1,000,000 people without power .:eek: And the eye still is offshore . :party-smiley-004:

Over 3 million without power. Made landfall in Galveston at 2:10AM CST. High tide was at 3:01AM CST. :eek:

From the sound of things, Galveston and many coastal areas are devastated. They will know more once daylight arrives.

The loss of life may huge.:(

just passing to the east of Conroe....lost power 3:30am ...but gen kicked on and have a little power for coffee. Few trees down in the neighbor hood but looks ok. So far so good
