Default Help!!!!!!!

Well me and the wife have decided it is time to move. And will be leaving soon. I just don't know exactly where we want to go. I am thinking of somewhere around the carolinas or surrounding states. I want the cost of living to not be sky high. It has to have water close by for boating. No less than 100k people but not more than 500,000 people give or take a few. I really need help. I am 42 years old and this is the last move that I want to make. So please any and all help is greatly appreciated.....Thanks....Chip Cecil....

New Bern is nice, but always seemed a bit small townish to me. My opinion Wilmington is a better choice (lived in the area for ten years).
Spent a year in Charleston... no beach, and you don't know humidity until you've been there in August!

Good luck wherever you go.

Have you thought of something around one of the great lakes. We have fantastic boating up here on south western Lake Erie. The Put-in-Bay islands and Cedar point area to name a few.

I grew up in Knoxville, TN. It's a very beautiful part of the country. Between the Tennessee River and several lakes (like Norris Lake), it's a fresh-water boaters paradice.

Good luck!

Whatever you do... don't come to the desert I can't wait to move out of the Phoenix area. We have also been looking to move and we really would like to move over to the Charlotte (Lake Norman area). We've been checking out homes and you get sooo much home/land for such a reasonable price, plus ITS BEAUTIFUL and great people. Just my two cents

Having lived in NC, VA,FL,GA and DC. I would suggest looking at SML VA, Wilmington NC, Lake Murray SC. That should give you a great start.

My ex-gf was from Roanoke, VA near SML. We went there for a visit one year and did some boating on the lake. Nice place. I'm a big fan of Roanoke and the area.
