My first boat was a 22 Checkmate with a 454 which I thought was pretty bad azz until until I got smoked by a 22 Donzi in 3 footers. I was jumping around like a yo yo and that Donzi looked flat as can be going by.

OK, so I am a tad biased myself. After Progression, I like Active Thunder and Laveycraft.

Isn't a 24 Fountain really a 20 foot Allison?

My pic is the 24 Pantera. I raced it for 5 years in some pretty bad water at times and she is still as solid as the day I bought her

I would like to see a 25 switzer run 70+ in 3-5's. I always thought they were cool boats, and fast for the power, but they are not exactly wave crushers with that flat bottom.
From my experience the 25 Active is hard to beat/ They ride good and are very stable and predictable. For the dollars can't beat a 25 or 24 outlaw. I have ran the chit out of my 20 year old 240 sport and it just keeps on rockin'. After the shootout this year my buddy is ready to trade his 25 sunsation for an outlaw. Not bad for a lowly Baja. ;) |

I can tell you however why I like my boat :drink: It's fast (80-85) with 300 hp. It seems to handle the rough pretty well for a comparitively lightweight 24ft boat. It takes decent sized water to slow me below 70. It's fun to drive, I love flying it high at 80+ and balancing it on the pad, never thought it could be so fun. Its somewhat economical, I get acceptable fuel mileage compared to many of the boats I run with (25 sunsations, 28 sunsations, 32 sunsations, 33 powerplay, 34 phantom, etc). I love the looks, low deck 24' boat with old school squared off get the hell out of my way styling. White gel with some simple accent colors (I'm not big on crazy paint schemes). I can "hang" with a lot of bigger boats until it gets real snotty. I could go on and on LOL. There are others I like, but all around it works exactly how I want a boat to work. |

Sounds like I need to break out Dean's 24' Bat Boat and have a 24' run-off! Maybe a brown's to sinbad's marathon??? :drink: |
