What boat were you running when you joined OSO?
What boat are you running now?

For my 2000th post I wanted to do something fun. Let's see everyone's boat progression through their OSO memberships. Some may still be on their same boat as when they joined and others may need 10 posts to fit all the pics!

Nov. 2002- Joined with a 1983 22' Donzi Classic "Mental Therapy"
Spring '03- 2003 29' Kryptonite "Black Label"
Today - 2003 38 Donzi ZRc "Necessary Evil"

I was running a scarab panther that i bought out of texas from the OSO classifieds....now a 30 spectre with egg beaters....i sure did love that old scarab...it was a fun boat....

I was boatless when I joined OSO... for far too long. I finally bought my Donzi Minx. Here it is when I took it home, it's getting painted now, and a full resto. I'll post more pics if I ever get it back from the painter. :party-smiley-004:

Joined with a 1999- 28 Active thunder
moved to a 99 - 32 active thunder
moved to a 99 f-2 38 top gun
Moved to a 78 20' cig
added a 03 38 ts top gun
Moving to ??????????

Joined in 1999 with a 1989 Baja 250 Sport
Moved to a 1991 42 Beaker w/trips
Then moved to a 20 Playbouy (still)
And Redid A 24 Challenger Super V (still)

Joined with a 1992 Larson Senza with a 454 330HP..... then added custom paint job........ then added 496 425HP...... Now I am running a Sonic 358 Diablo with Merc 575sci's.......

Joined in 06-07 (can't remember) 92 24python

Currently have the 28 Apache

I stumbled across OSO About a year & a half ago. This is how contagious this boating stuff can be.
I was lucky enough to have an overlap of boats by two weeks. Actually had a 6 week payment skip.:evilb:
I was a little nervous thinking the buyer might back out.

Our first boat was in 2002, - '91 Powerquest 230 Conquest
Second one in 2008 - '02 Powerquest 340 w/ 496 HO's

I started here with a 93 Galaxy Lazer, then bought a 84 Chris Cat from the OSO Classifieds, and now have a 97 32' Fountain Fever with 2006 496 Mag HO's..........Great Thread Idea

This is a great idea for a thread. Only been a member for a few months, but have had the same boat for the past 10 years.

86/98 Scarab KV MV LTD

Started with a 25' Baja Force '85.
Acquired a 26 Wellcraft cruiser '96, and 19 Wellcraft '87.
No pics of the 26 Wellcraft.
Got rid of them all shortly after joining full-time here.
Went boatless for a few years.
Now have a 24' Pantera that is currently in restoration stage.
I kinda like these smaller single engine boats.
But, I still want to get a classic Cig Mistress someday to restore.

Good idea.....When i joined i had a 27 four winns sundancer....(hated it)....
Bought a beat up magnum and restored it.....pic to follow..(first pic when i brought it home second and third is what it looks like know...

Now a 24 skater that scare's the pi$$ out of me.....

Next.......it will be another boat for the classic offshore forum

I joined in 2001 with a 21 Baja. I know have a 25 Baja Outlaw. I think it must be time for another boat just to keep up with some of you guys:cool:

Started looking in 2003 for a well kept Top Gun, finally found one in mid 2004 that was pristine - but that didn't keep me from totally re-doing it from bow to stern.

1) 1999 35ft Fountain
2) 2006 42ft Fountain-Current Boat

That is a great boat, owned by Wilma and Brian Ross of "Learning the Ropes with the Ross's" Race Team. Remembered the boat was owned by Bill Taylor of Power Boating Canada. When the Ross's bought the boat they had it completely redone by Hot Knot's Marine. What does it look like know.

Started on OSO in late 90's...before Jeff sold it to Steve and Steve...well...you get the picture... :) Had a 30 Shadow Cat and sold it to power the 28SS I picked up for 1200 bucks... :)

Bought the Cafe Racer and still have it today....along with the Cafe Open I picked up this summer

almost forgot these two... :) I still have the 20...will restore it one of these days. Sold this 28 before I had the chance to restore it... :)

Began with a 85 Sea Ray Sundancer, Great with a wife and two small kids. Got the itch to go faster and found a 91 Fountain Fever. In my second season with it I ran my first poker run and got bounced around and knew I had to make a change. Currently have a 91 Cigarette Cafe Racer. I think I'm good for a few years, but ya never can tell! Some of my buddies think I'm crazy , but someday I want a cat.

Great thread................. Joined this site when my Pops and I had a 1986 35' Cig Mistress. 2 years ago we jumped up to a Topgun. I moved outa state and couldnt go boatless so here came the 21' apache.

Started with a 1998 Donzi 22ZX supercharged, Then a 2001 Donzi 26ZX with 580HP now a 2004 Donzi 33ZX T/496 Stock

My first boat was a 1989 Rinker 206 Captiva w/350 small block (and NO, I didn't add the windshield wiper. The previous owner did!). Second and current boat is a 2001 Powerquest 280 Silencer w/502 mag mpi. When I stepped up 8' I was looking for info on handling bigger boats and I was referred to OSO by fellow member Downtown42.

When I joined I had a 1999 Crownline 225BR 350 Mag, upgraded to a Procharged 383.

Now I have a 2004 Nordic Rage with a Whipple'd 496.

Had a 96 280 Velocity with 454 Mag at that time. Had Mystic Power boats repower it with a HP500, K-planes, KE Hydraulic steering. That was a fun/fast boat with reasonable gas mileage (Is there such a thing in boating!?)
In 2004 bought a 2000 35' Nordic Flame with 502 MPIs. Still have the Nordic.
In 2006 bought a 2006 Seadoo Sportster from OSO's Bob-the-builder, (Thanks again Bob, we use the Seadoo more than the Nordic, all the kids want to do now is go tubing/Sking!)
And I'm now looking at buying a Hydrostream Xegas XT.

Boating is a way of life for us, we have lived on the water for 10 years now, and I couldn't imagine life without boat(s)!!!

The Seadoo is the 8th boat I've owned, it's just a character flaw thing, I guess!:ernaehrung004:
