Buy that pair of JC mills in the classifieds
|
Buy a yamaha waverunner and enjoy the pee hole on the back. Thats about as good as a jerry rigged roost can be.
DONT PUT A PVC PIPE ON YOUR BOAT! |

u can't "make a rooster tail" unless u want a quasi-til and eat up some u-joints. Get a staggered boat, a jet boat or a 6 boat. Until then, wait patiently young man ;)
|
fireboat pump with nozzle on transom....... or bail on the trs's and do an arneson conversion..
|
Have TD build you some shortened Alpha's.

Not only is the roost of that boat (RIP) unreal, but the sound as it goes by would make your heart skip. |
Saw a Fountain at Lake Cumberland Poker Run that had what appeared to be stainless "tubes" mounted through the lower units of his outdrives. I only guessed it was for Rooster Tail effect. Can't remember if it was staggered or what drives, but it was the best looking red, black, and silver Fountain I've seen!

It's Easy!
MORE HORSEPOWER & MORE SPEED:drink:

I think that the opinions so far are correct. Go to surface drives, use #3, 5 or 6 drives or stagger the engines. Here is the tail from our 39 Top Gun. It throws this tail regardless of trim. Not bad for Bravos!

Thats pretty impressive for bravos.
|
You could try the shortened Konrads. Would raise your prop shaft height by about 3.5" if I remember correctly

PS, I find a simple little 22cal sufficient for shootin most roosters :) |

Phil did some modifications for a customer on a new 38 Topgun to give the rooster tail effect. There were some tubes in the drives from what I could see.

Vent tubes to air the props. I just cannot see libship rigging a homemade tube to shoot water. He would just sell the guy a new boat with #6's or staggards.
