Fun Run Manhattan

Since the brunch run appears to be cancelled, anyone interested in doing a Fun Run around Manhattan? I was thinking of launching from the ramp in Perth Amboy NJ and rolling up to Lamottas. Pass on running up the hudson but going up the East river?

Sunday October 5 or Sunday October 12??

stainless 09-28-2008 10:30 PM

If this happens is everyone trailering up there?

I might be able to go but I'd run up there instead of trailering.

Keep me posted.

bsloane 09-29-2008 04:27 PM

Xchoke03 09-29-2008 04:30 PM

Can anyone tell me where the Perth Amboy ramp is ?

Panther 09-29-2008 04:45 PM

Ya'll down south can always launch at Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor if you want to take a longer ride. It's a large ramp with plenty of parking. It's about a 25-30 minute ride to NYC and Lamotta's is another 20 minutes from there.... NYC to Lamotta's via the East River is about a 20 minute ride.

berns29scarab 09-29-2008 05:35 PM

i know a few cant do the 12th because thats the weekend of the Lake George gathering

Panther 09-29-2008 06:23 PM

Bern, can you send me a PM or call me when you guys know what the deal is?

Pro1 09-29-2008 06:30 PM

I am in either the 5th or 12th. Up to you guys what date is best. Frank the ramp in Perth is easy and nice. Lots of parking and wide and right off the highway.

007joe 09-29-2008 06:40 PM

where is lamottas?

Pro1 09-29-2008 06:43 PM

I think it is in freeport NY. It is about 25 minutes from Manhattan. Under the whitestone, Throggs neck and 10 minutes.

It is in Port Washington/Manhasset Bay area on the north shore of LI

Panther 09-29-2008 06:52 PM

LaMotta's is in Port Washington on Manhasset Bay, north shore long island.

Kenny, Freeport is south shore, gotta take the ocean to get there...but if that's where you'd like to go, I'd prefer it! ;)
