FASTTIMES 09-29-2008 07:31 PM

I don't know but thats a hell of ah wang!

ve3lt 09-29-2008 09:48 PM

Dual wheels???

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...could be a Stinger 312?

I don't think it's a 390, as you would need a tri-axle for that.

Just guessing:drink:

Perlmudder 09-29-2008 10:17 PM

i think its kinda cool looking! old school sporty!

Deff not a 39 but it could be a 31...When you see it real world it's way to small to be a 39....Should I stop in and tell him about OSO?

joew. 09-30-2008 11:12 AM

Looks like an old Stryker

yeh that's what I was saying...a dual wheel trailer should be able to haul at least a 24 -32 footer so a 312 is a 31 footer. It had a big ass radar arch on them back in the 80's.

I never heard of a Styker???? Sounds interesting. Anyone have any real pics of a Stryker. Who made those?

Powerquest230 09-30-2008 09:39 PM

Kinda hard to tell with those black bags- is that two or three outdrives? Logical answer would be two but the fun answer would be three? :cool-smiley-027:

Thats an odd one. It's too low profile to be a Scarab or a Pachanga. It seems like a west coast style boat.

hammer01 10-01-2008 12:17 PM

I agree with the low profile making it look more like a Stinger or older IMP. Several of the IMP models in the 30 foot range had the arch but still almost looks like a shorter profile boat. Curious to find out what it is!!!!

waterboy222 10-01-2008 12:41 PM

IMP is my vote...

Keytime 10-01-2008 12:48 PM

"Stryker. Stryker! STRYKER!" :angry-smiley-038:

Freeboard looks kinda low for an IMP, but I can't say for sure.

Sea-Dated 10-01-2008 01:09 PM

When we sold IMP boats, we sold a 255, 25', with twin 350's in it and it had the arch. Could be one of those or the old 310 Eleganza.

ve3lt 10-01-2008 02:37 PM

Now that you guys mention it, an IMP Elanganza would be a logical guess. We have a guy here in St.Catharines with a 41 Elaganza and it has the same low profile. The radar arch is very dominant like the won in the photos.

Did anyone notice the grab rail on the arch?

One mor ething to check is the grab rail on the deck. If it's in the centre it might be an older Scarab. (looks like the tarp is held up by a singel grab rail in the middle?) I'm not sure if IMP did the grab rail the same? I know the Stinger 312, 390 and most of the larger boats had a perimeter grab rail.
Any other thoughts guys?

Is also looks like a Canadian Flag hanging from the back??? :)

26sxl 10-01-2008 03:00 PM

Causmik,When ya stop and ask him what it is for us,you might fill him in on OSO. Bye the way, there were a few 25' 26' with twins back in the 70's & early 80's with twins.

johnny g 10-01-2008 03:19 PM

[QUOTE=Keytime;2702880]"Stryker. Stryker! STRYKER!" :angry-smiley-038:

Definately not a Stryker! I had one. Theyre junk! I believe its a IMP Viper 31 foot

cauzmik 10-01-2008 05:17 PM

Not going to have a chance to stop in to chat with him this weekend...going to be at the cottage in Kingston. I'll do it next week...If anyone wants to go themselves for a sunday drive...the boat is parked on a lawn right outside

Mt. Albert Road & 2nd Consession Rd in Sharon...just north of Greenlane in Newmarket...where the 404 ends

Anyone have anything else you want me to ask him for Monday..let me know..I'll tell him about OSO

Hollowpoint 10-02-2008 08:13 AM

It may be a Scarab, but I'm 90% sure that's a mid-eighties Chris Craft. If it's not a Stinger, maybe a Scorpion?

And yes, I'd say a 312.

Don't think it's a Stryker or an Imp.

Full Force 10-02-2008 04:16 PM

Not a Stinger, way too low freeboard... honestly.. I think it is a Sutphen, it has a center bow rail for sure, I am going to be that boat is older then mid to late 80's.
Not a 30 Scarab either, the part where the wing mounts is flat, like a flatdeck Cig, 30 Scarab is not like that, that is another reason i think it is older then mid to late 80's

maybe Mirage?
whatever it is, it is a flat deck style...I gaurantee it.. Those drives seem to date the boat too, those look like older Merc drives, like a older speedmaster type, i cannot rember what they were called back then, thought OMC for a minute, but I am 99% sure they are merc..

ve3lt 10-02-2008 09:25 PM

Get some pics of it with the damn cover off of it! Inquiring minds need to know........................

30ctsutphen 10-02-2008 10:32 PM

doesnt seem to be a sutphen.

I am dying to know what it is though

cauzmik 10-02-2008 11:26 PM

I didn't know this would be such a mind boggle...it almost makes me want to get it and fix it up. If I wasn't saving every penny I have for an OL I'd really think about investing some dime to thought..

Like I said..I'll stop in next week and get him on OSO..and I'll post the make as soon as I can!

For now you will have to suffer...sorry for making you all crazy:evilb:

Full Force 10-03-2008 06:00 AM

Stingers never had a center bow rail the hatches are in the center on a stinger, it is NOT a stinger..I looked at a ton before I bought my Baja, have 2 friends with them also..

Pure Energy 10-03-2008 08:32 AM

gumbyjb 10-07-2008 10:35 AM

I doubt a Sonic. Sonic's arches are angled forwarded and this one is angled towards the back.

I am still guessing IMP.

Full Force 10-07-2008 02:50 PM

The only thing similar in the two is the arch, deck, transom, are way different..

i have to agree that arch certainly is Sonic-ish. The boat dosent follow though . . . . hmmm . . . maybe its a late 80's sonic? while they were still refining their style? Or could be a Sonic arch on ???

panicrev 10-07-2008 04:03 PM

there is a sonic in waretown, nj. they have some funny commercials...:party-smiley-004:
