A friend uses one on Lake Erie, we think it does great for what the boat size is, Lake Erie can be brutal so i guess that is good!!

The 353 is a good performer but the 382 being bigger will ride a little better. I'm told (since I haven't had a 353) that the353 has more of a sports car feel where the 382 is more like a big luxury car.

If you are looking at late model 353's please look hard at Nelems.com
Robert Nelems is a great resource for anyone looking at buying a new or used Formula and he has several new and used 353's in stock.

Bingo! I rode on both in Miami in '05. Came out of a very rough Governor's Cut. I actually thought the 353 rode better. But I attributed that to the sports car feel.

Nice boats for sure, but the cabin is too tight for me.

I strongly agree... Robert is one of the best honest dealers you will ever deal with. (Period)

353 is a great lake boat and can handle running offshore in moderate seas. I am not familiar with the Mediteranian but if it gets very rough, you might want to consider going up to the 382.

I think it will be very underpowered with 496HO's.

I've heard from 72 to 76 GPS speeds.....not a rocket, but seems OK to me.
