I thought about that but the 5 series does not have the AWD option and she wont deviate from wanting AWD or 4x4
The audi is not appealing to her either
(she is tough that is for sure)
She hates Mercedes Benz's ( i love the 500 SL myself)
I even suggested a jag and she called it a toilet
I said you ever drive one? She said no and I dont like their lines so I would never drive one
This is going to be bad i can see it now
I wanted her in an expedition she said too big
Explorers she has had 2 in past 6 years and hates them now
She loved her friends 5 series but it does not have AWD so not an option
Hates Saab (or Slob as she calls it)
So instead of squabbling over this I figured a 3 series XI is what she likes, Ill find out more about it
I think their pricing is a little high but not rediculous
35-40 is not SO bad in this day and age for a new car.
I even suggested a used 840-850i and she did not like them either and Rear wheel drive
so basically i need information on 330 or 328 xi
Anyone own one?
How does the AWD go in the white stuff?
handle well?
peppy or could use a thump in the ass?
Thanks
Jason

Well Jay I guess I stand corrected.
Your TA is not exactly stock. But it you have to go around a curve the M3 will catch up reall fast!

How about a 911 C4.

She may even let you drive it!

Question What???????????????????

WHY DOES SHE WANT FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE SO BAD????
BMW's are great for the most part in the bad weather....we currently own three Beamers right now..... X5 / 740i / 325i
and have had numerous in the past. NEVER any problems with the weather... (Knocking on wood) Seems foolish to me bro to spend 40g on something that you do not necessarily want, I know that you have to compromise, but come on it is not like you live in Alaska or the mountains or something.
Buy the rear-wheel drive model of your choice give her a shovel and some traction-salt/sand and be done with it..... My .02 Bro!!!!

P.S. If your T/A only runs 11's why is it not a daily driver????
Just bustin' ur balls.... Bring it to the Lou and we will
play...

Jason -

I had a 325 IX in the late 80's and an Audi Quattro before I moved to Florida - let me tell you that there was little or no difference in the white stuff with either car..... The AWD makes it corner on rails, but because of the lower profile tires, it didn't do too well in the snow....

If you get the 3 series, go for the 330. Great car.

and no.... it never ends....

if you want speed and all wheel drive then:
impreza wrx
i personally think its a better car, performance wise and i believe theres an issue of motor trend that agrees with me

but then again it has been said that the interior is not up to par, and since your wife/gf/fiance is not likely to race see prolly wants the bmw xi

Hey Spine Tickler,
THat is too weird
We bought a house with a pool (she would not look at a house without a IG pool (and no liner deal, she wanted the concrete pool)) That was back last June we bought this house, Then October I bought the boat, THen Oct 30th I got engaged,
Now Comes the wedding in May and my boat needs work lmao
Decisions decisions
Perkasie is like 20 min from home
You ever splash your ride in the DE river?
Tulleytown to Penns Landing , lots of performance boats (most of them housed at Trenton Marine)
Where in MD do you go?
Im getting married in OCMD but not taking the boat that weekend, Will be taking boat to OCMD in late August for a week to get away from it all and hang out with Will (HotDuck) and see his Cigarette racing teams stuff
Email me, we will shoot the $hit

Here's a thought: buy the 330 XI and take deliver in Germany. Even after shipping you can save enough to pay for the European vacation. Spend a couple of weeks driving YOUR new car around Europe then have it shipped home. Maybe even cancel the Turks and Caicos trip in favor of a visit to the French Riviera. Just something else to think about.
