I just checked. (I have another set.) Breaking strenght 10000 Lbs. Working load 3333 pounds. I was shocked that the stearn eye bolts didn't give first. It's also possbile the straps were draging on the pavement. Not sure..

I think the working load is going to be the force or strain put on the strap. A strap may be rated to hold 10,000 lbs, but give that 10,000 lbs some momentum and it probably quadruples.

Know the feeling. I drove OTR for 21 years. That trailer was just an extension of the truck, but mess up just once and it's gonna do it's own thing.

At least we all learned a valuable lesson in this tragedy. NORTECH, Customer service kickss AZZ!!!!!! Those nortech guys suprize me every time, I even saw the Nortech support staff help out a 42 fountain with 6's, get home safely from the bahamas on one engine simply by switching a prop,, Way to go Nortech. :cool:

Gotta love the local news. They run out there, give you the wrong info about the boat, don't really know how it happened and to top it off, they find some idiot bystanders who don't know anything either and ask them what they think. :rolleyes:

there are two location 1 in North Ft. Myers, 1 in the Cape. Drivers around here are horrible, someone cut him off. When it rains there are multiple accidents from idiots.
