Ray, Rick and Frank....Thanks for an awesome day, I had a great time..rain just added to the fun..especially on the ride over to Scotty's. At WOT they felt so smooth on my skin.

Ray that BBQ of yours...damn sweet! Gave me an interesting idea for mine.

Rick ... sandbar's are not an actual "BAR" with beer.hehehe

Frank thanks for sticking with me to get gas.

I just wanted to take a pitstop, and have a beer, I didnt have any idea, they werent serving on the sandbar, I just looked at my GPS track and cant believe Ray made it thru there?? Must be a cat thing, from now on I am following the locals, or at least looking at the GPS now and then.

Nov. 29 or 30 Sounds like a Thanksgiving weekend fun run to me Not sure I ever had Churrasco, but the wife and I do Skirt steaks all the time if thats similar. I love that run to Elliott, just keep me in the deep water

First ever ..... 2008 Gobble Gobble Run
My bad it is Skirt Steak..
Flank Steak is "Vaca Frita"
But we can hopefully get a few more boats and do it all over (minus rain, hopefuly).
We could do the BBQ at Boca Chica http://www.key-biscayne.com/kb/keys/bocachita/
and then hang out at Elliot for after lunch drinks and music!!

Vaca Frita??

I dont know all these fancy names for it.

We marinate the skirt for about about 2 days in the fridge with some worcestershire sauce, soy, and garlic, I may not be cuban, but I know what tastes good

Boca Chita sounds good, if we can get a spot, then off to Elliott.

I'm in!

Angel, that Twister runs like a litttle race boat. I could see it was trimmed out, yet it flies pretty level. From where I sat, it looks like you guys were having a lot of fun with her.

Rick, try lifting the engine so that the propeller shaft is between 4.5-5.5 inches below your hull. That seeme to be the sweet spot for the 24 Pantera......and, ....try to stay in at least 18" of water....

Sorry about that Rick. When the cat is up and running it only needs about 10 inches of water. I did lose some paint on my skeg. With the transom water pickup I don't have to worry about sucking up sand anymore! Count me in on the next run. The Toys for Tots run is the weekend after that. My wife and I do it every year. It's up in Palatka on the St John's river. For a GREAT cause! Semper Fi!!!

I would love to do the toys run, but we have a christmas party that weekend for my wifes work, I would blow it off but they already rescheduled theirs back to accomodate my house christmas party is the week after. I may run my boat out this weekend for a quick bit to make sure I got all the sand out, if you are up for it.
