Question Sonic 41os or Fountain 42 lightning

Ok guys something simple!!! I boat in the caribbean where the water is kinda rough. Based on my budget, I have narrowed it down, (but not excluded others) to a 1990 to 1993 41' Sonic os or a 42' Fountain lightning. Both most likely will be powered by a pair of 420's. Which would you choose? What speeds should I expect from both? Anything special to look for???

Thanks in advance
Barry

Thanks all. I was leaning towards the sonic myself. Does anyone have any approx speeds with 420's? Do any of you know one for sale at a good price?

Thanks
Barry

From my research on OSO, you can get the Active Thunder 37 for less than a new Cigarette TS Top Gun and it will run in the mid eighties.

A Sonic with 420s?...I would guess 55-60mph.
You ask about speed...and if its an issue than the Lightning is the answer.

Defenately the Sonic. Built like tanks. Nice space. Good looks., and its not just another belly button (you know, everybodys got one.) I have a 94 with trip 502s goes 73. Trere's a guy up here with an old 41ES with 420s who claims to go 62. Good luck on youe purcase!
