pretty hard to steal 2 drives and nobody to not see something,and the driver to sleep thru it?

Spectre has indoor secure storage on the west coast of Florida. Jay also has a full service facility including warranty, paint and glasswork - my old boat will look brande new come spring!

Did NOT happen in Florida - not that it would not.

How much does a six weigh??? They look really freekin' heavy!

Don't see how a driver could sleep through that?

How big was the boat? Just a 30' with trailer and vehicle puts the outdrives 40'+ behind the driver. I think it would be pretty easy not to hear it! IMO

Either way, that sucks! Sorry Man!

Those drives weigh 345 lbs. each, according to Mercury, not sure if that includes the gimal assy. Plus you got to figure they used electric impact wrenchs, to remove them. Not that quiet when operating taking nuts loose. Really makes you think twice about leaving you boat ont he trailer overnight.

driver sleeping in the cab with the diesel engine running and the a/c on after a long haul would not hear it.

Yup and you can back a pick up truck under most set ups. Sorry to hear,I think insurance companys are going to start pushing for some type of alarm systems.
