cbradley 11-12-2008 04:43 PM

Is this pics of two different really similar boats or was the paint and interior changed after completion? Notice the paint on the back is different in the one in the links (straight lines versus curved), one time its got red scoops and the next time its multicolored, red interior in one and white and gray interior in the next. Been really curious about this for a few days.

Pretty sure they are different boats...one reason they may be is because his first "Pure Platinum" was involved in a horrific Helo crash and it destroyed the boat...skater remade the boat for him! That's the only reason I can think of!

Skater did not make "remake" the boat. The new boat is all new. The pictures I posted are of the new one.

Sean H 11-12-2008 07:22 PM

two different boats, first one was not destroyed or even damaged significantly...

stainless 11-12-2008 07:55 PM

I saw the 1st one that was involved in the helo incident out at skater. It had some very minor damage on the top corner of the left sponson.

it's on a nice hoist in Ft. laud with alot of exposure...first time I saw it up close..looks way better in person than in pics. Very impressive boat and the house in front of it wasn't too shabby either:grinser010:

Thats pretty simple. Thanks Gator One. You have one sweet boat. I saw your old one at Skater this summer.

NASCAT 11-13-2008 12:52 PM

I believe you'll find some on Skater's website as well as a diary of pics as it was built on Boatfreaks.

Awesome Boat & Owner & Crew!

I heard there was a helicopter blade in the glass.
Significant enough.

Post 27- wives/gf in the rear seat are wearing hats and look to be about the same height as the scoops.

Does the airflow come from the sides back in towards the scoops- like wrapping over/around the cockpit?

What did raising the scoops do- more/better air flow?

At those speeds do areodynamics come in to play?

"I HEARD" thats the problem..i hear all kinds of BS all the time but i don't post it until i SEE it for myself..i have about 100 pics of the boat after the accident and walked all over it and i can say there is no "blades in the glass" the reason the boat is not out running is a legal one and nothing to do with damage.. but I'm sure you know better than me...
