Exhaust pics - I'm confused (big time)...HELP

An OSO member has some exhaust for sale, but I don't understand...probably from my lack of knowledge.

Can you guys help me out.

Attached is a pic of the Stainless Marine exhaust that is for sale...but I can't see how this exhaust would fit a single small-block 350 engine? To me...it looks like 2 left-side exhaust manifolds.

Help me figure out how I could use either of these manifolds (without modifications) on the right side of the engine. Unless 1 of the risers is going down and 1 of them is going up...I don't see how it would work.

I didnt even know SM would built something like that,,,,,,,they look the same to me (2 Left) but also they look like real old style HP 400 merc exhaust just copied out of SS .

The weldings ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,??????!!!!!!!!,,, that does not look proffesionel at all ,,,,,,,,nothing SM would do.

Those are two starboard side manifolds. They are "log style" manifolds. Except that they are polished there's no reason to use them. You will not see any performance increase. For a performance increase the exhaust pulses need to be separated like a true header or a GIL style manifold. Those all dump into one chamber and are no better than any stock system.

I've never seen a product from the company "Stainless Marine" that looks like that- Sounds like they guy selling them meant stainless steel marine manifolds.

And yes looks like 2 of the same side.

That said-those aren't performance manifolds anyway- Id go a few bucks more and buy a real exhaust.

Do a search on "small block headers" and join the debate- you'll get some great ideas of brands and directions there.

Those are antiques by todays standards, and like everybody said, they are both starboard side manifolds.

We haven't made those in 20 years. Don't use them.
