So Adrian, Albert and I decide to test the Avenger yesterday since the Bay was a little rough....just want to see what she can do since Albert built the BAD BOY.......and, for our northern friends, I sympathize with you during the winter....it was sunny yesterday, but cold!!!Damn, I bet it got down to 70 degrees, we even had to wear long sleeved t-shirts with our shorts, forgetabaoutit....I can't wait for summer!!!!!......anyways, the boat handled like a champ and we had a nice, LIGHT, lunch at Boater's Grill in No Name Harbor at Key Biscayne..........I can't wait for summer:evilb:

here's a picture of Albert driving and me in the back....Adrian took the pic

lucky strike 11-17-2008 11:06 AM

Nothing like being chauffeured around. :drink:

pm203 11-17-2008 11:07 AM

70 degrees? You poor soul. I feel your pain. :D

Adrian has pictures taken of the boat that he needs to post, but when we started reaching the 80 mph mark, I realized the rear seats need some grab handles,........I improvised.......

these clowns had no idea of the risk I was facing in the back....they were just braving the cold.............

this is when Albert realized I am not used to the back seat, and I might have gone overboard..........

ar15meister 11-17-2008 11:14 AM

Up north we are still boating too (not in the Pantera..in the duck hunting boat with the 80hp Yamaha)..

It was -10 degrees celcius with the windchill, honest 3 footers on Nipissing....so rough I dropped a 3thousand dollar Beretta like 4 times lol.

the boating doesnt have to stop up here until the water turns to ice...then the snowmobiles (we call em sleds) come out:cool-smiley-027:

BTW great pics.

Albert hogged all the cold for himself........see how low he was wearing his head gear..........he couldn't hear the roar of the engine with all that nylon over his ears.......even his sunglasses were warm and fuzzy.........70 degrees, 70 frickin degrees.....I tell ya it was COLD!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like Fun Frank,

Yeah, the little 24's are fun, even cheaper to run with a weedwaker strapped to the back:drink: We'll see ya on the 29'th, keep me off the sandbars this time:eek: As far as the every weekend deal, I'll wait til the waters a little warmer for that, but we are out at least every other weekend over the summer.

thedonz 11-17-2008 06:54 PM

Rick,

If you wore more than a purple thong when you are on the water, why then it wouldn't feel so cold.......yeah, I amlookingforward tothe 29th....seems like we have quite a few boats joining :ernaehrung004:us.....

Pantera24 11-17-2008 07:14 PM

24x7's are the perfect size for me.
Like you said, easy to maintain and fun as hell!

Thank god you never sold it.

Gee Rick! I guess that purple thong is going to stay with you like you following me across the sandbar! Don't you know cats walk on water?

Xray50 11-18-2008 07:29 AM

Boat looks good Frank. Glad it's running well for you. Some of us have to work during the week or we'd be out there also!

thedonz 11-18-2008 11:03 AM

Hey Ray,

I hear ya, I ran it Sunday,....wish I could be out there today.

thedonz 11-18-2008 11:04 AM

Stan, the reason it is so cold for you is the rediculous hour you are checking the weather.....at that time im still under my blanky......

you need to get down here bro!

DollaBill 11-18-2008 11:34 AM

70 in So Fl is chilly. The humidity makes it feel much colder. I remember the temp dropped to 40ish a few years ago and it was miserable. I had to put socks on for christs sakes!

Nice boat Frank. Hope all is well.

thedonz 11-18-2008 04:12 PM

hey Bill, how you been buddy?

Hey Rick. I didn't start it but I believe it matches your boat! At least you'll be color co-ordinated. High heels to match would be good also!
