By way of price comparison my wife wants a 20' Chaperral, if I remembe correctly with a 4.3 it was $37K plus trailer for MSRP.
Sutphen pricing doesn't sound out of line with the rest of the market to me.
But $72K for a 21' boat with a black motor, I can't believe prices today. 10 years ago $50K bought a 26 Sonic with a 502 and a trailer.
Guess I'm getting old.

GO4BROKE:
Those speeds are GPS. Our pricing on the SSX is very affordable, considering the new Donzi 009 is over $85k.
You really get more for your money with our SSX. As a custom boat builder, without the overhead of large manufacturers, we can give to the buyer a substantial savings on a remarkable product.

Actually, there is something to be said for smaller fast Hot boats, especially around times like now.
I have a 28 Pantera single with a 525 EFI which is for sale and is now in Cape Coral, Florida. Having a choice between the Pantera that runs 69, takes much longer to hook up, trailer to the ramp, and is somewhat difficult to put on the trailer by myself and together with the fact that I need my F250 to tow it around or a 21SS that runs 73, easy to trailer with my Aviator, reliable power and can put on and off the trailer with ease, my decision becomes difficult. But the 21SS is my boat of choice for now. The ideal situation is to own both if you can. But on the west coast of Florida I can have loads of fun with the 21SS. Although, the Pantera is a bigger water boat than a 21SS, my boating style has changed and I really enjoy getting in the 21SS and going for a Rip.
As they say, there is a butt for every seat.
You could say I'm biased, but I now have something to compare my boating style to and I enjoy my decision.
