Must have an open account with BBlades. I was amazed the yellow boat didn't lose its lower unit.

Still a great video. Never saw that movie. |
The red graphics put the motors at ´69 to ´73. After that they got blue graphics. We had a 100hp six on a 15 ft Glastron, around that time. the boats in the film are a 15ft Broom Scorpio and 12ft Sims Super Vee....and I feel feel 30 years younger, straightaway.....
|
That was great Rob! Just a nit,but those were the canals in Amsterdam. A great city!

Cool video.. Where are the lifejacket and lanyard police. TONED down, :D And don't try that jumping over a pole in the water trick. That happened to my boat earlier in the spring, it ripped my drive off. :(

The day after I saw that move I went out and bought my first boat, a Yellow & White GT160 glastron. Boat had a 115hp mercury. I would run that boat hard all day long and only use 18 gallons of gas.

Sydwayz would be pissed they werent wearing their Lanyards:evilb:
|
Way Cool

Great chase scene. I was going to say they copied from Live and Let Die, but this movie was made in 1971 and the Bond movie in 1973. Never heard of it.
Brings back a lot of memories. I had a mint 1972 Glastron GT150, orange and white identical to the boat in Live and Let Die. It had the original 80 hp Mercury inline on it. I eventually rerigged to a brand new Evinrude 100 XP. That boat was a little rocket. Here are the chases from Live and Let Die. All Glastrons in these chases, they sponsored. This was the world record for a boat jump for a long time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8DwLUVdUis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEO9VfCPRMM Talk about busting up some props..... |
