Come on ,where are all the engine pros ?? You know ,those big heavy ,metal things in the back of the boat which we spend most of our day dreaming about making them bigger ,better ,faster !

Cool

The Mercruiser 502 carburated engine was produced from 1990 to 1993. It was offered in Generation 4 and Generation 5 configuration. Neither of the generations were tall deck. But all of the exhaust valves in the engines mentioned above do have Inconel valves. The intake valves are stainless steel.

LOL!!! Joe, this thread cracked me up as I read it. Everyone sounds so sure, yet there's no agreement. I hope you are able to find out!!!! Good luck.

i woudl also lean towards the no iconel valves.

I dont; thin they even use iconels on the new EFI engines. I htink only the supercharged engine some with them. Search teh archives i know this has come up before.
