Just so you know, that Fountain was NOT a factory step hull.
It was the brain child of Jeff Haylett. Jeff worked long and hard to figure the correct placement of the step, and with the help of Tom from Tiger Fiberglass in Detroit it was cut in 95 or 96. And later, with the custom #5 standoff boxes it became lighting fast. You still had to give it respect in the corner. I'm proud to say I worked with Jeff and Deb for a lot of those years. And the only person besides Jeff to drive the boat in competition.
