So if the boat was equiped with tabs I'm thinking that running the down slightly would have corrected the boats tendencey to fly with the bow to high and would keep the bow from slamming down into the next wave causeing it to bow steer ??? Is this correct??

Watch the few times he gets his drive out of the water, he seems to have that jolt right or left when he re-enters. Makes me wonder if he kept his drive perfectly straight once it was out of the water, or whether he got caught turning it slightly which helps contribute to the hard port turn.

Unfortunately I have too many videos of what not to do. Even worse is how hard it is to steer this industry and the participants to accept they must demonstrate true leadership for long term sustainability.

Accidents do not happen and speed is rarely if never the primary causal factor in any incident, it only dictates severity of consequence. This as most are easily recognizable and simple to correct. But if you dont speak latin, " vos cant agnosco latin!"

Further disturbing is how many of these incidents are shrugged off as accidents with the operators chalking it up to part of the experience.

What can be done to mitigate this problem? Was it just the angle of attack/waves? Too fast for too small a boat? Too much trim? No tabs?

Tabs would have helped but overtrimming was the culprit. Its a race so they were balls out but you cant win if you dont finish.......
