Boat Music- Favs

Ok, so I've decided to add some new "boat music" to my Ipod for next summer. Let's hear what some of your favorites are!:ernaehrung004:

Godsmack - Enemy is one of my top choices for poker runs, along with many others from GS as well.

Ryan8886 01-05-2009 10:50 PM

It's oldschool...but...

"Voices" by Russ Ballard and "Turn Up The Radio" by Autograph (great idling tune heading out from the docks!).

Knot 4 Me 01-06-2009 09:00 AM

If you do a search you will dig up at least a couple of old threads on this same topic.

Agreed! I've been planning on putting some kicka$$ video footage to "Realign" for a while.

Quicksilver 01-07-2009 12:26 AM

Any hard rock, metal, punk etc. Godsmack, Black Label Society, Pennywise, Atreyu, Rise Against, Disturbed etc

jayboat 01-07-2009 05:42 AM

Goin Home, live version, by Ten Years After - it's old school and still rocks. Plus, it's about 10 minutes long.

At his peak, nobody did it better than Alvin Lee.

TeamSaris 01-07-2009 06:04 AM

Seaford,

What? Never heard of Zep, George Thoroughgood or Rush?
You young whipper-snapper! :)

Any classic rock played LOUD is good in my book. With some newer stuff thrown into the mix.....

:musik010: Please No Begees! One night after a poker run at Put in Bay I listened to a couple guys (lets just say they were good friends) who were rafted off on me play and sing every flippin word to every song every recorded by the boy band turned grown man band " The Begees". My stereo broke in the waves otherwise I could have turned my own on to drowned that trash out. :greenchainsaw:

Ona-Mission 01-07-2009 08:34 PM

It depends on what company is on the boat what everyone is drinking or maybe even smoking. So far I haven't seen any bad suggestions. Maybe one to add " Big Head Todd" for that chillin during the sunset. I like "Disturbed" when your just trying to get to the end of the no wakezone. "Affromen" for smokin the tumbleweed. NO F*&KING BEGEES.

midwest272 01-08-2009 06:24 AM

Here's a couple oldies

Duran Duran Relax don't do it
Golden Earring Twilight zone
Molly Hachett Bounty Hunter
One of my personnel favs. BOC's version of Ballroom Blizt

My kids think they were the first Gen. to ever ruin a subwoofer, yea right.

Wasn't Relax done by Frankie Goes To Hollywood?

Midnight Radio is one of my all time favorite albums. :drink:

Hollowpoint 01-08-2009 09:17 AM

Relax was Frankie GTH. I hate to admit I knew that one....

OK, best old school rock IMHO is the rockin trio band RUSH
Especially any of their instrumentals (YYZ, Where's my Thing, 2112, etc) or any of their live stuff (which is alot)

Its my tradition that the first song on the boat every year is "jammin"
by Bob Marley followed by the rest of the Legend CD. Just starts my summer off right.

midwest272 01-08-2009 05:02 PM

Dam limewire, the download for Ballroom blizt by BOC shows Workshop of the telescopes but that ain't true either.
Sounds diff. from The Sweet orginal but what do i know.
And I had no idea Relax was a cover by Duran.

I'm off to the rock history fckup corner now.

johnny g 01-08-2009 05:16 PM
