Title search for a boat???????

If you are looking at a used boat and want to find out what is owed on it, is it possible if you have the HIN?????

My buddy did it once, he was looking at a boat that was registered in NJ. For a fee he was able to run the reg and find out who the lien was with on the boat. Adam, not sure how he did that but give me a call and I will put you in touch with him.
