I'm pretty surprised by that. I would have thought the Formula to be considerably bigger. Thanks

You should try to make a trip to a boat show and crawl around a 292. The feel of quality and ergonomics is unmatched. We searched for 3 years before going with the Formula. Power stand-up bolsters, deep cockpit, and a nice windshield. Great for cruising. Never been in a AT, but the 292 is a heavy 24° deadrise V wave crusher for a 29 footer. Of course, the 29' includes the swim platform. She won't be the fastest, but with stock, turn key small blocks it can hold its own!

That would be ideal to actually get a chance to check them out. I plan on attending the Detroit show, but I'm not sure there will be Formulas there.

It does look like Miss Geico will be there, so I know one fast boat will be around.:drink:

According to www.formulaboats.com they will be at the Detroit boat show (Feb 14-22 Cobo Center). Sometimes they bring a 292, but not always. Surely one of the Fastech's will be there. Have fun!:drink:

The 312 includes the platform and is 31'2". My 28 Pantera was 30'1" with the platform, so only a foot difference in LOA. The 312 had a little more room in the cockpit. The V berth was actually bigger and taller in the Pantera.

I plan to call on that one if it's still around when I get ready to buy. I'm a little concered over the pro-charger being on it though. I wonder how that will effect it's reliabilty, etc? I'd probably have to remove it for insurance too.

I know the owner, can put you in touch w/ him.
He says he's got it real dialed in.
You can always check w/ insurance before you remove anything.
i know he is motivated.

Thanks, I may follow up on that in a while.

He had responded to a thread in the AT section, but then it got deleted for no appearant reason?

Right now I'm thinking the 28 AT or a 32 Sunsation would be some of my best bets, keeping them less than 10 years old. The 32 with twin 6.2's will break 70 and be economical to run and easy to insure. I think that's a bit faster than the 28 with a 500? Sounds like cockpit wise they're similar, with the Sunny having a slightly bigger cabin. I've also started thinking of Sonic 31's more seriously too.

As much as I would like a Bullet, I'm probably just better off going newer to keep it more reliable and all other issues easier.

Haha, I was wondering what happened. :drink:

I was trying to figure out if it had been traded in or if they were selling it as a broker. Sounds like they are just the broker.
