I doubt he lets off the sticks setting up his turn again.:readinghelp:
After it bucked it's rider, I actually found myself saying: "Not the rocks...........noooo....there's rocks there....NOOOO.....C'MON BABY turn a little more........ALMOST THERE...........AHHHHHH CHIT....." :( |
He appears to have cut the throttle in the turn, a big No-No for stepped boats.

Wow that Top Gun didn't last long..... I remember someone posting a video of it being delivered on a crane and the guy started it without lowering the drives then going for a high speed run.......
|
Thinning the herd....

Is that Team Wahoo testing a new boat? :D
|
More money than brains. Doche Bag
|
I watched this video 3 times, makes me sick!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Looks like he cut that turn way to sharp for a stepped hull boat!!
|
No one ever seen a boat like that before in Russia. You would of thought that some one would of jumped in and turned the engines off.
|
First, I'm pretty sure its Bulgaria.
Second, they all saw "Face-Off" and the Miami Vice episodes as such that when the boat hits something, it blows the f_ck up. Third, how would someone who hasn't seen that kind of boat before, know how to turn the engines off? It's common sense to us, but would you know how to climb into an F-16 and turn the turbine off? |
Bet u can get that one cheap
|
Sure didn't look like it was going that fast into the turn. That's what's scary.
Maybe he was a Jetski owner and just waiting for it to circle back around? |
Here was the boat when delivered.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQzet2npilk
Notice the drive position upon firing up the motors...... |
It is unfortunate. I asked months ago if this was a common trait with the Cigarette's and I am beginning to belive it is a Cigarette issue more than a driver issue.
A lot of those have done this exact same thing with a lot of different drivers and the results have been the same. They all got wet. Glad it had Merc drives as that way all the blame has to be on the driver. |

Namely the three climbing one in the Carolinas I think and one on Winnipisakee wipedout 2 hours into it's depreciation life span.... |

All the step boats will spin. The Geico 51 Outerlimits with #6's did it in Boston. Sunsation had a couple 32's go over. It is the nature of the beast, extra air under the hull in a turn at speed will be an issue in any brand.

It looks like Boyko Todorov needs to give his clients a few more lessons.

I cant believe he just wasted a new impellor by running it dry on the rock like that....
|
I would have been leary buying a boat from someone named Boudreaux Buttpaste. :drink:
|
I would of swam fast and jumped back on the swim platform before it hit the rocks. Looks like the guy didn't care about his boat.:drink:
|
This occurred in Varna, Bulgaria. My wife's hometown.

Good thing it hit the rocks and did'nt circle around and chew anyone up.....sad thing is it could have been easily prevented.
|
Good thing that wasn't california, the tree huggers would have been all over him for scratching the rocks...

It just seems more Cigarettes hit the headlines than other brands. This is not a high speed spin out, nor tripping a chine, this is a feat that has been repeated several times on the TS verified by other videos out there. This is a bit different of a scenario than most stepped V’s whereby these boats appears to have to high of a VCG combined with a forward LCG making for a inherit design problem. I agree, it was a beautiful boat but I don’t think these boats are not meant for the average boater, rather they need someone that has been schooled on how these boats behave and how to attach the lanyard tether to themselves. |
