Default 1800runsnew crate 502 question

looking for a few hp, and by a few i mean a lot

so i've come upon the conclusion that i need a 502 to replace the 7.4l i have now. checked out a couple engine dealers and 1800runsnew seems to have good prices.

now to the question.
what do i need to do to get the 502 crate motor working. im sure i can't just open up the crate and put it in the boat. already have lightning headers so the exhaust is covered. any machine work? what other parts, other than a fuel pump. in the end i hope to get 850 hp blown, would this be a good engine to start with?

850HP, No!

600-650HP, OK.

I have 2 with prochargers and they run great. You can probably use the parts off the 7.4 to complete the motor. Good Luck.

I have a spare engine for my boat that I want to sell. I is a 500 bulldog, with a 250 BM, with a PFM cooler. It run's 6 pounds of Boost, and makes 675HP on the dyno. It is complete, with dyno time only. It only has 80 hours on it since it was new. 12,500
