Does anyone know if I will adversely impact the center of gravity when I change engines and drives, eliminating the trans in my 40 scarab?

I'm pretty sure the boat in the movie was a fountain. I haven't seen movie in years. I'm gonna re-watch movie and take a closer look. Can't find anything online.
