Default Need some (more) computer help.....suspend mode???

This computer kicks me into suspend mode after about 3 or 4 minutes of not doing anything (trying doing laundry without getting booted!!). I have tried to change the time it takes to do this, or even turn it off, but have had no success.

Anyone know how to change this feature or turn it off?? Windows 95 being used.

Help!!!!!

go to control panel, display, then turn screen saver to "none". make sure you hit the "apply" button. If that fails, try control panel, then power management. Look in there for stand-by settings.

Did that already David. That's why I'm confused.

Power management doesn't even give me an option.

WF, are you sure the power management doesnt give you any options such as "standby" or Hibernate" that you can set specific quanities of time to or disable?

When you go to the Control Panel do you see a Power Options Icon? (Probably a pic of a plug and a battery)

Foul,

Check in the BIOS settings, you can access the BIOS at power on. Look around in there.

Thanks cpqtim!! I think I've got it now. Went into the set up mode at power up and found what I think I was looking for. Changed it from 10 minutes to 120 minutes. That should help.

Love this site!!! Help with all kinds of things@@@
