What's the history and lineage of, and good or bad reviews about the 39' Avanti? I'd like to know whatever you can tell me.

I know there was one that was a pace boat for a few races with the OPa, that was a few years ago idk if it still is. Avanti's are built well, and they are heavy..but stock Avanti rigging sucks. Buy new or re-rig it

This particular boat is a 1993 39S, it has a pair of newish 496HO's and Bravos on a tri-ax aluminum trailer. Looks pretty good. Helmstation and bolsters seem to be awfully far forward though, I like the long bow, small cockpit look better. Its a repo boat and I think can be had for under $20k.

Don't know much about the 39's. I know a bit more about the 33's. Bowtie seems to have a lot of information on the Avantis.

I am glad that Dennis did not rig my boat. The boats are great, solid hulls, good rough water design, but the finishing done by Dennis (Prev. owner of Avanti boatrs) ... !? well.. enough said.
Mine was not done by Dennis and I am happy for that, Turned out great, even though he screwed me..
