Closed Cooling

Tell me a little about it. Do they make an exchanger that can handle a 750hp NA engine? Can you mount the exchanger off to the side? Does anyone have a pic?
Thanks

Sure.

Sen-Dure makes all size heat exchangers and their product is standard on the Ilmor line of engines from 525-725 now.

Thanks What about the exchanger, can it be mounted off to the side?

I mounted my exchangers outboard of the engines on L Brackets that attached to the outermost stringers port and stbd. I will try to take a pic. I got good pricing from SeaKamp for the exchangers. My motors run 130-150 with no TSTATS with 600 hp each side. I bought the biggest off the shelf exchanger they had.

You can mount them just about anywhere as long as you bleed the air out correctly.

I have two custom engineered sets. The heat exchanger would mount remotlely and the smaller expantion tank up higher. These were engineered and built for 800+ hp by Orca Marine. I still have the shop drawings for them. They have been used only one time. I am selling complete with stringer mounts and all stainless hardware and tees. Let me know if you are interested. Yes they have something to handle over 800hp and yes they can be mounted to the side.

Don't forget to mount an overflow reservoir at the highest point. :drink:
