Dreamer,

we will see ya for sure in Miami this summer some time, recently I have been staying closer to home, I frequent Haulover sandbar in the summer, and recently discovered Ellitott Key, so you can bet we will be down once the water warms up.

Mike,

I know your busy these days, but if ya can sneak out for a bit, like I said, even if ya cant get the boat out, your welcome to ride along, I usually go solo on this type of run, since the wife is impatient and likes to get home early.

Since you all know how long it takes to get from place to place.
I putting in at Ft Pierce inlet and going to run the outside if possible, how long will it take at 45-50 ?
By the chart looks like about 80 miles ???

Just don't want to be late for lunch.......

dreamer 03-06-2009 06:43 AM

why put in so far north?

80 miles, hmm....If it's calm I think you're looking at 2 hours minimum door to door.

Bring it to Pompano, there is a great place to put it in & plenty of parking for the trailer & truck.

If referring to the 14th St. ramp, he's concerned about the tides there.

excursion 03-06-2009 01:08 PM

Yep, tides play a big factor with my floating condo, plus we can get in the water faster and not have as long of drive.
That ramp at Ft. Pierce is huge and plenty of docking, taking my truck and trailer over to Harbortown to park in secure lot all week.

TeamTaboo 03-06-2009 01:39 PM

How big is his boat and how much water does it drew

I've got room for 3 people.

Anyone have any great lunch spot recommendations?

Steve
