I need a outboard rebuild shop on the westcoast of Florida to rebuild my 2 Merc 300x powerheads. One needs a block because of the hole in the side. Who is good and trustworthy?

Is Joe Harper still at flagship ? He owned J & B boats in westville NJ and rebuilt many outboard pwr heads for me then he moved to FLA and started working for flagship . Had a Powerhead rebuilt by King Marine in NJ and it lasted 10 min brought it back and he told me tough luck !!!

I believe that Flagship is primarily a remanufacturer, operating on a trade-in basis, but they might do individual projects as well. I had a couple of injected big-blocks they did, and was very happy with them. They did a lot of the initial work for GM in marinizing the 496, so they have good credentials. http://www.flagshipengine.com/ 1-888-282-2840
