Since we were talking about the 525EFI, I thought we might as well drool over Merc's newest creation...

You gotta love the 90 day limited warranty! I would have thought it would be longer putting out those kinds of benjamins!

Does anybody actually have a price on these? Is the 50 Hour rebuild just valve lash adjustment or something else?

Yes it is very cool , But I'm sure it is WAAAAAY overpriced , big deal you get a warranty .
You can build the power for less than have the price, sure it might not have fuel injection ,but if built right it can be just as user friendly.
Just my opinion.

Now if i win the lotto and I have money to burn.. well there would be two in the boat and one in the garage as a spare and something to drool on when bench racing

I talked to Mercury about this engine. He told me they are only sold in pairs, and it will cost about $300,000. This includes a rebuild after 50 hours. Mercury wants the engines back and will tear down, inspect, and rebuild. I ordered a pair at the LA boat show to go in my 36 Skater. (I wish)

The blowers are Lysolhm (Spelling?) I think they are the same manufacturer (in Sweeden????) that whipple uses.
