Default Fellas....CAT Question....

I love these cats! Here is my question...

If you took a 42'-44' MTI, 43' NorTech, and 40'-46' Skater, and put the same power in them, which boat would be fastest, second fastest, etc...Also, what are the main differences in terms of ride, characteristics, etc...

Thanks!

Skater
MTI
Nor-tech

Nor-tech has more creature comforts and will take longer to pack air, My personal opinion is the 388 skater is in a league of its own....I have been in one at 130 plus with 525 efi's REAL 525's

Last speed run we did with a 43 Nor-tech was in October on Lake Couchiching. 5/8 full of fuel and we ran out of lake at 153mph with the new Hering 38 CNC's and Merc 1075's. Previous best was 152 mph light on fuel. The boat really liked the new props. Pure pleasure boat. 6 seats and a cabin. BTW...the motors had 110 hrs on them.

That's really fast! How fast do you think it would be with the 1200's? Maybe the 1350 Sterlings?

If you want a nice 43 Nortech, for a really nice price, check with "OU Want Some" here on the board. His is in great shape, has the underwater exhaust, tunnel extention, trailer, not sure of the hp but I think it runs 140 or so.

Hopefully he won't get mad at me for trying to HELP him find a good home for it.

isn't the 43' nor-tech closer in size to the 46' skater than to the 42/44 mti and 40 skater?
