Capo, that sounds fair to me if it is an installed price. I assume that number is less drive, so your buying a bobtail package. What engine do you have now?How did someone come up with a 75mph figure?

Last year at my friends shop he put an aluminum headed 540(625hp) w/polished CMI's , added a scoop to the hatch and changed a broken Gimbal ring in a Ultimate Warlock cat for $16k. He did give him some credit for the broken 502MPI that he took in for a core.
I think it sounds a little high, are you keeping your 454 or trading it in ?

The customer moved from Lk Havasu to Michigan in the winter and didn't know that he had to winterize, oops !

what condition is your 7.4 in? If its in good shape and you just want more HP why don't you put a blower on?

You could buy a 454HO long block from 800runsnews and use all you accessories from your current engien and make 420hpp for like 5grand. If you can do some of teh work yourself you will save a ton of $$$.

Go with the crate motor! It will cost you half the money. www.1800runsnew.com

Puder
Has a good point you could add a ProCharger or Whipple and run the motor for a few seasons. Then build the 7.4 into a blower motor.

Puder you almost had a A for spelling.

i am putting a b&m 174 on my 7.4 (well it already went on and i ran it for an hour but found otehr problems so i didn;t get any test time last season...)

You coudl do a 174 or 250 pretty cheap. There are a few for sale in the classifieds section.

OR you coudl get the crate motor (454HO) AND put a blower on it!!! then you coudl make some BIG power

I have the top ends of a set of 400hp eng for sale if you want to wake that 300 up you need new heads.I would look into fixing your eng up or a used 500hp.The old saying is about $1000 pr mph after about 65 or so mph a supercharger will get you the most bang for your buck. A lab prop is also cheep mph The stock exh also needs to go good luck.
