Enriques old 2003 36 Cigarette Gladiator in Las Vegas for 115k, it would be mine if i was sure that i want a sit down?
|
Dollar for dollar you can't beat a Fountain. Fast, decent quality, look pretty good. For the record, I don't own one, I'm not looking to buy one in the near future ,but ...it IS was it is.
|
Any barely used 35' Fountain with 525's is a great deal any day of the week......good size, great speed and amazing value.

If you're talking new boats, you can't beat Superboat for the value. Very well made, reasonably priced and they hold their value exceptionally well.

I hear there are some engines in Texas that some guy is trying to give away.:drink:

Works for me . Though a Staggered 38 would work even better. |

For some reason you stick up llike 3' over the windshield. |
42 Fountain hands down. Are there better quality boats, sure. Are there better rough water boats, to be argued. However, value to dollar when you compare, speed, ride, comfort and cost the 42 staggered with #6's is really tough to beat. My first choice boat would be a Cig 42x, but could not justify the extra $150K - $200K.

Does enriques boat have a Trailer? This Glad seems to be the best bang for the buck and is an '05. http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o25259-en.html |
I'm new to the scene, but I have been looking for a while. I want a cat, but this Fountain seems to be a great deal.

http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o27526-en.html New XR's probably means he broke the old one's. If all he did was add bigger blowers, Then that means his old ones weren't big enough and he had to run it real hard, which makes you need to ask if the engines have been freshend. And then by whom, because it might just be a pile of junk siting there, Or it could be a decent deal. If it had low hour 525's then it would have sold all ready. |

I know the guy that owns that boat. He is in Memphis. The boat is not at all what you described. If that is in your price range, you should look at it. VERY clean boat. Fresh water.
Did he upgrade the engines, or freshen them. Boat looks clean, it just has some odd power on it. I am not a fan of owning a fountain. I will ride in someone elses, but I would only buy one if I could make money on it. What kind of deals are you guys making up there? |
There is a 1995 38' Scarab at Harrison Marine. If you can get it for the wholesale price, I think would be an excellent deal.

A $500K boat in top condition for $250K, IMO, a he!! of a deal. But for someone looking to spend $125K it's double his budget, and for the $25K buyer it's 10X his. Pointless for these two buyers. Might help to indicate the brand as well as range of size and price you wish to buy in, top shape or a project, there are loads of deals out there right now. I would think if you defined your search data you might come up with some real deals here. |

This boat is in very nice shape and the low price does not reflex the condition. The small blowers are not as efficient as the big one and they do not look as good and that is the reason they were changed. The mercury blower can be reinstalled if anyone desires.
If I was a fountain guy, I would be calling you on it. |

Good point as well, but in reality if more folks had actually figured out what they could afford before they bought it, there would be far fewer killer deals out there right now. |

Looks like confirmation from the man himself.
If I was a fountain guy, I would be calling you on it. I can vouch for this 42' as well. I know the previous owner that traded it into us and it was maintained with an open wallet by a man that manages a Cummins dealership. He knows boats and even better maintence. At the listed price, it is being given away. |

As you already know, ORCA is back in service with 2 fresh bullets from Mark Rinda @ MER and I'll take cash, trades, or what have you and I'm realistic enough to know that I'll never get back the money I spent so dollar for dollar you might get the deal you are looking for. PM me if interested. |

That boat used to run pretty strong. I always hated the paint. If I had that boat, it would have to go to the paint shop. |
