It was a short course against the river current and you had to start from off plane (although Kenny would sometimes take a run at the start - hey, no fair!!). First year he went 105 mph and I went 104 mph. The next year he went 106 and I went 105. That boat was my nemesis!
Seriously though, I never actually met Kenny, but was sad to hear of his early passing. He was definitely a high performance enthusiast that had one of the fastest Bravo boats around.I know somewhere I got an old video of a local St. Louis TV newscast where they did a story on the DSRA radar run. The reporter and camera guy filmed a 100+mph ride in that boat. Pretty cool.
