Yes, the motors were rebuilt , we got ride of the oil injection , changed the port timing ,opened up the exhaust , slight mill on the heads , rejet the carbs, machined the front air horn . This way we boost the hp to a reliable level . We will spin them up to 6800-7000

Yes, its a 1988 38 Cougar , totally redone. The owner is redoing the motors. 557 gentry turbo set-up , fresh water cooled . Motors are capable of 1300 hp.

Kurt, My searay is in the water, but have not been out yet. Its still pretty cold down here . I do not think I can test the Activator today as its cold, and its blowing like 25mph . I have not touched the OL yet.

Tom

What do ya mean cold?? I heard it was 50 degree's and raining this weekend.I miss that weather ! Not!

Boat looks great bring it down to jacksonville, or one of your other toyz.

It seems as though the wind will not let up down here 15-25 this past weekend but around 75

The garage is awesome . Its a good friend of mines home, that he lets me use . That garage is more equipped than most race shops .

Dean

TomFTM 04-19-2009 07:04 AM

Dean , Hows it going? I did not make it to FL at all this winter.

We test today... Will try and post some pictures of boat in the water later..

rtaylor 04-19-2009 09:25 PM

Awesome looking redo. I live in Jax, just moved here from NY and have a 27' Activator with twin outboards also. I am looking to redo the interior. Would love to hear more about the interior.

Bring that thing down to Jax for the poker run. Would love to have some more Activators down here for once.

By the way, I went out of St. Augustine inlet today, just 20 miinutes south of Jax. Had 3-4's and the boat just soared. One of those days that reminds you why you go through all the time, money and frustration having a boat. Go Activator!!!
