Have had most success with F-350 SHORT BOX 4X4.

My 08 was stolen 2 weeks ago. Ford has discontinued the short box on duallys so now I'm stuck on how to go forward.
Don't want 8 ft. box . Too big to park and doesn't look as good to me.
Dodge makes a 6.5 ft. box on the Mega cab but with that the total truck length is same as Ford 8 ft dually.

06 chevy 2500 duramax/allison. Tows like a champ. The ride sucks without a load and the stock suspension. Upgrade shocks and put the load rite air bags on the back end and you will have a 2500 that rides like a 1500 but will tow like a beast. My fuel mileage with my predator programmer is 20 MPG highway, 14 towing my Velocity 320

I have had three GM dually diesels ('04,'06,'07) and have run into the motor going into limp mode on all three for no apparent reason.

No more Duramax for me, unless it's a lowner for free like the current Topkick.

My advice is to check them all out and pick what fits your likes the best. You know what they say about opinions Mine is that Cummins is the best diesel motor hands down and real trucks have solid front axles. No matter which one you choose they will have plenty of power.

Towing a 45 foot Sonic with a 350!!! WOW, you gotta be a couple of tons overweight!! Point of the matter is that when you get over 38' you are pretty near the max towing weight and maybe over the GCVW
