Yup, Gold Rush. One of the sickest boats ever produced.

Before everyone jumps to more conclusions, it has never been the same driver.
This particular instance invloved an outside person under contract by the owner of the boat.
Other than the fact that it's another Nor-Tech it had nothing to do with the company.
And yes it really sucks but it could have been worse.

Thank you,

Terry

I do like the tape censor job on Nor-Tech. I believe there are rare earth magnets in the bottom of those boats, they always seem to be attracted to the ground.

No sh!t. I own a Baja & my entire boat isn't worth what he has in propellers, but I take mine off while on the road anyway.
I don't get it.

Looks like there are straps on it to prevent is from going forward (in a hard braking situation), but nothing to keep it from sliding back. There must have been something that snapped....no way you would strap a boat like that from going forward and not strap it for going off the back.

I guess it brings new meaning to the term " Roadster". Just goes to show that you can never be too careful with weight. Once it starts to move look out.

I feel bad for the owner.

Looks like the bunks were set up to have the bow high. The tounge with that truck also put the trailer on a slight upward angle. Then factor in new carpet on trailer and the underneith of the boat being near perfect. Then tuns of weight on the transom (4 engines/drives), all it took was a little acceleration with the truck and one inch of movement started the slide.

I think I am going to throw up as I was just on GOLD RUSH this weekend. That is so hard to look at.

But it's an accident, and it doesn't look like anyone got hurt so let's be thankful for that. And I am sure the truck driver, owner and manufacturer would appreciate a little less speculation.
