If you go the house boat route, I would still bring another boat. It is nice to have a boat to run around in.

I would start calling resorts or hotels now for the July 4 weekend.

I take it no big deal to just anchor at the cove for 3-4 days, and sleep on the boat? I wouldn't want to miss anything. Or is it better to be mobile (boat) and land based (Motel).?? I'm really looking forward to this!!! I can see like 10-15 of us coming down for July 4th.

Ok So I call to book one of those 60' houseboats, and they're booked solid from last november.(



Now what? Does anyone know of any other big boat rentals for July 4. Or do you have any links/lists for hotels that would be close, or is Lazy days the best place??? I'm all pumped now about doing this trip---what a shot of cold water.
